Sunday Ministries

Worship

Sundays are a very important part of our ministry. They are a time that we gather to corporately worship, fellowship, serve and learn together from the Word of God. Our congregational worship style is a mixture of both today’s worship songs and timeless hymns of the church, all done in a contemporary/praise & worship format. In addition to our congregational worship, we also make regular use of creative elements such as video clips, dramatic sketches and special music to enhance the theme of the morning’s message. Our messages are based on inductive Bible study presented in an expository preaching style. The messages come directly from the Bible itself, explain how God’s Word applies to our daily lives and usually last around thirty to thirty-five minutes. Our worship services are scheduled to last one hour and fifteen minutes.

Regular Sunday services are at 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. in the Auditorium
Worship is held
in the auditorium. This time provides an opportunity to meet each other, praise God for His work in our lives, worship through music, and to benefit from Bible teaching. This is one of the important foundations to maintain a consistent growing relationship with Christ and love others. There is a variety of music, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the Bible teaching is solid and practical.

FirstHour/SecondHour Classes
The first-hour/second-hour classes (we call the adult groups Adult Bible Fellowships or ABFs for short), are a great way for you to connect with our church. The ABFs include time for Bible study, getting to know other people in the church and to share how God is working in your life. While you are getting to know other adults, your children will be doing the same thing in our children’s programs. During both hours, our early childhood staff nurture your infants-toddlers as they hold, rock, talk to and use music to attend to the needs of the very young. Our program for age two through kindergarten teaches God’s Word through Bible stories, music, creative play, visuals, and manipulatives. During the 9:00 hour, children in grades 1-6 have individual Sunday School classes for each grade with a weekly Bible lesson. During the 10:45 hour, children in grades 1-4 are in the Young Chapel for a special children's program while grades 5-6 attend the 10:45 worship service with their parents.
