Scott Distler
Senior Pastor
On August 1, 2004, Pastor
Scott became the Senior Pastor of the Grace Brethren
Church of Lititz. Prior to coming to Lititz, Pastor Scott
was the Senior Pastor of the Osceola Grace Brethren Church
in Osceola, Indiana for nine years. With a BS in Pastoral
Studies and an MA in Religion from Liberty University and
ministry experience at the Community Grace Brethren Church
in West Milton, Ohio, and the Osceola Grace Brethren Church,
Pastor Scott brings a passion for the lost and a ministry
philosophy grounded in the Word. Pastor Scott rightly
divides and communicates the Word of God in an effective and
powerful way to meet people where they are. He has a strong
desire to lead them to eternal and abundant life in Christ,
to help them experience full reconciliation and relationship
with God and fellow believers, and to lead them to commit
themselves and the resources God has entrusted to them to
serve Him and others.
“I received the Lord as my
personal Savior in the fall of 1970 at the age of five. My
Grandpa Distler was an IFCA (Independent Fundamental
Churches of America) preacher and my parents were highly
involved in the local church. My Aunt Ruth taught a Child
Evangelism Fellowship Good News Club each week that I
attended with her. It was after many weeks of hearing the
Gospel at these clubs that I realized that I was not going
to heaven because I had never received the Lord Jesus into
my life. As a result I accepted the Lord and truly have
confidence that because of this decision of faith that I am
going to heaven.”
Pastor
Scott was married to Laura in 1987. They have two children,
Joy and Jonathan. Pastor
Scott enjoys grocery shopping with his wife and watching
sports.
