Vision
Listen to Pastor Scott share his dreams for Grace Church

What is vision? (Habakkuk 2:1-2)
Vision is a picture of the future that produces passion in our lives today! Helen Keller was once asked what could be worse than being born blind. Her answer was, “To have sight with no vision!”

What limits our vision? (John 6:1-9)
Just like Philip, our vision becomes limited when we can’t look past our reality. Philip saw thousands of hungry people in a desolate area where there were no villages, shops or McDonalds. In his mind, six months wages would not be enough to buy food so that each person could have just a bite. Philip could not look past his reality. Andrew had a different problem. He couldn’t look past his resources. Andrew scoured the crowd and found just one lunch of 5 loaves and 2 fish. His question to Jesus was, “What is this among so many?” Andrew could not look past his resources.

How much vision should we have? (Ephesians 3:20)
We serve a God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond anything we could ever ask Him to do and anything we could ever dream of Him doing. So let’s ask for more and let’s dream about more! D.L. Moody put it best when he said, “If God be your partner, make your plans large!”
