Dan accepted Christ as his personal Savior when he was nine years old at summer Bible camp. However, it was not until his late teen years that he realized the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. His life verse is Psalm 32:8, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you."

He and his wife Sue were married in 1979.  They have two daughters, Megan and Mallory.  The Buchs started attending Grace Church in 2000.

Dan enjoys antiques, refinishing old furniture, house renovation projects and sports.
